Customers please note the book is heavy and will attract additional postage. Three quarter leather with gold emboss decorative spine gilt print aand raised band . Coloured maps and profusely illustrated.The boards are rubbed the back one badly and the front one is partially detached towards the head leaving a small gap. There is no danger of the board as such becoming detached.There is a presentation page claimed by Daniel. Page 115/6 have a short closed tear at the head while pp133/34 have two one at the tail one on the outer edge. There are other pages with very small tears and not many at that. None affects the print.Ten plates are damp affected bar one which touches a small part of the print the stain is always on the blank outer edge. All prints have their tissue guards.There is a large fold out map of Ireland at the back which has been reinforced at the edges and one closed tear repaired. Intermittent minor staining throughout the book. For all its faults it remains an attractive publication. The binding is solid profusely illustrated maps. The 1900 date is taken from Trove though the printing could well be 1884 or late 19th century. <br/> <br/> Samuel McCardel/Thopmas Kelly hardcover

Signed by Kao and with stamp on verso of last panel and designated AP. Housed in a paper covered slipcase hand-stenciled by the artist. Corners rubbed from case small split to paper at rear joint. Internally clean with some smudging to edges of page block. Very good. <br /> <br /> Striking project from California fine artist turned film director Jeff Kao. Consists of a series of childhood memories a few of which are obscene accompanied by images two being in color and the rest in black. <br /> <br /> Letterpress printed by Norman Clayton at One Heart Press San Francisco and Hand-bound by John DeMerritt Emeryville. We find little mention of this project and no copies are to be found in OCLC. We do find at least one other book by the artist Of Victor Fame also published in an edition of 30. Rot was an illustrator for the satirical magazine Notenkraker through the 1920s later becoming known during the Occupation as an underground printer co-founding the underground political daily Paraat in 1944. THE MOUNTINGS: The works are beautifully mounted on brocade silk borders in tender pale blue. . CONDITION: Each example is in excellent flawless condition There are no marks or other issues. This poster originates from the estate of progressive folk-rock group McKendree Spring violinist Michael Dreyfuss who played in the festival. <br/><br/>An attractive poster featuring troubadours being towed by a camel under a moonlit sky the festival featured acts such as Kris Kristofferson New Riders of the Purple Sage Linda Ronstadt Earl Scruggs Review McKendree Spring John Prine and more. <br/><br/>Dreyfuss pioneered the use of violins distorted by electronic and analog synthesizers counting synthesizer inventor Robert Moog amongst his close friends and McKendree Spring largely became known for the experimental sound that he helped craft.
