Lo scritto faceva parte del fortunato "Almanacco igienico popolare" pubblicato in diversi volumi dal 1866 al 1905.<BR><BR>L'autore descrive vari alimenti dal punto di vista dietetico e nutrizionale fornendo anche consigli in cucina (carne, uova, formaggi, pane, funghi, grassi e oli, verdure e frutta, caffe, te, cioccolata, erbe aromatiche e droghe, sale, falsificazione di alimenti, gelati, veleni ecc...). The author describes different food from dietetical and nutritional point of view providing suggestions in cooking (meat, eggs, cheese, bread, mushrooms, fats, vegetables and fruit, coffee, tea, chocolate, aromatic herbs and drugs, salt, falsification of food, poisons ecc...). Interesting part dedicated to tobacco and cocaine. the suggestion of Mantegazza is that of use preferably cocaine instead of tobacco provind suggestions for choice, preservation and consumption.<BR><BR>In good conditions.<BR><BR>Editorial cover in fair general conditions with wearings in the edges and spine.
