Three sheets are colored paper yellow green and orange-yellow typed in black in. One sheet is white paper typed in black ink. The last sheet - a place mat - is white paper printed in blue. All now housed in a mylar sleeve. Overall a VG copy. Age toning and soiling to main menu as well as light ink scribble to the upper wrapper other pieces have some light age toning and some soiling very likely these items were at the table during service some chipping to loose leaves wine list is quite bright. Some creasing due to being folded otherwise bright and legible. Two Bifoliums. Five loose leaves. All pieces have small illustrations and/or decorative borders. Main menu: 11" x 8-1/2". Second bifolium: 6-1/2" x 4-3/4". Vignette drawing of the inn p. 1. 18" x 11-7/8" <br/><br/>Hailing from the 19th C the modern history of the Inn began "in 1939 when Danish immigrant Irl Hinrichsen acquired the Inn. With the help of his sons he remodeled the Inn discontinued use of the upstairs hotel rooms and renamed it the Sycamore Inn. The Hinrichsen family Irl and later his son Vern and his family made the Sycamore Inn into one of the prime eateries of the Inland Empire. That old dirt road that fronted the Inn became the fabled Route 66 the primary route from points east to the Pacific Ocean. During those colorful years of the 30's 40's 50's and 60's before freeways the Inn hosted the rich and famous.movie stars and notables both the famous and the infamous en route to Las Vegas and Palm Springs. The Inn is rich with folklore. Legend has it that both Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Short the "Black Dahlia" dined at the Sycamore in the weeks before their untimely demise."
