All edges gilt. Five compartment spine; compartment 2 contains a gilt title the rest have gilt floral ornaments. Blind tooled borders on front and back boards. Cloth endpapers. Light foxing throughout the text block. Some bleed through on some of the plates. Binding is strong and square. Small cracks in the front and back hinges and wear at the top and bottom of spine. Lightly bumped corners. Wrapped in protective mylar. Overall a bright and readable copy with plenty of strength left in its bindings. Garnier Freres unknown
