Very creative 2007 Martin Parr vehicle SIGNED BY HIM AS WELL on the verso of the outer case. 27 photographic cards plus instructional booklet and decorative chemise. All in prisitne condition all contained within a laminate bright-orange slipcase. The photos were taken "one rainy Manchester afternoon in 1972" the idea being to match the couples from the 18 photographed people to test one's skills against the often mysterious agents of love. The photographs each measures a square 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" and the 3-dimensional box measures 8" x 8" x 2 1/3 GUN unknown

With Ross' printed bookplate drawn by German artist Otto Ubbelohde and engraved by Botho Schmidt. SIGNED BY KENT in the inset at bottom of bookplate. Unclipped dustjacket $3.75 toned more darkly at spine and edges. Blue cloth with silver pressed spine near fine with internals quite nice. A solid copy with interesting provenance. 1973389005Atlantic City: Grand Central Resort 1973. Unbound. Very Good. Flexible aluminum illustrated lithographic plate. Approximately 15.75" x 20.5". A couple of small punctures some small micro-scratches about very good. The central photographic image is of a group of people in costumed disco dress: roller skater construction worker hippie tuxedo etc. The half-tone screened picture also lists make-up and hair credit as well as printing and photography credits. The flexible plate was meant to fit over a drum-like cylinder from which the image was pressed onto paper or cardboard. The aluminum plates were often recycled or re-inked and subsequently reused. FIRST COLOURED ENGLISH EDITION 1898 4to 300 x 235 mm 11¾ x 9 inches cloth backed boards large coloured illustration to upper cover specially commissioned from Toulouse Lautrec by the original French publishers adverts on endpapers. 23 full page coloured illustrations attributed on title page to F.J. Vernay Yorick etc. printed 1 side only. Most are very interesting: Water Mill Serpentine Dancer Harlequin Traction Engine Mortar Mill Steamboat Volcano Scissors Grinder The Cat and Cherub little black boy crying in bath-tub watched by cat House on Fire etc. 3 are geometric. The book was issued with a 'transparency' rectangular sheet of clear plastic mounted in card frame housed in pocket inside upper cover. When moved over the pictures it produced an illusion of movement. Corners very slightly worn board edges slightly worn covers slightly dusty upper cover slightly rubbed 2 small stains and some scratches to lower cover spine slightly faded endpapers lightly browned transparency split vertically with a small closed tear see image. An occasional pale fingermark to margins otherwise contents clean small piece missing from lower blank corner of 1 plate tiny closed tear with tiny chip to lower margin of Butterfly plate. A very good copy with original transparency damaged as noted. An uncoloured edition with only 13 plates and without the Toulouse Lautrec cover was published the same year.
