Featuring photos of actor/director Orson Welles. <br/><br/>Surreal and visually stunning "The Lady from Shanghai" tells a quintessential film noir tale of moral chaos reaching its climax with a shootout in an abandoned hall of mirrors. Robert Coburn who photographed one of the images in this collection was one of the most influential portrait photographers employed by movie studios from the 1930s to 1960s with his most famous portraits immortalizing Hollywood's greatest icons and helping to define the era as the Golden Age of Cinema. With a dealer stamp on the verso along with holograph ink annotations regarding layout. <br/><br/>Based on Orson Welles' early play "Five Kings" which condensed Shakespeare's War of the Roses cycle into one story. The film was the last of Welles' three legendary Shakespearean adaptations following "Macbeth" 1948 and "Othello" 1951. Director Sergio Corbucci and screenwriter Massimo Franciosa collaborated on 7 films between 1972-1989 all comedies.<br/><br/>Based on the 1973 novel by Philip Evans about a former secret agent turned bodyguard tasked with protecting a Sardinian football player. Film rights to Evans' novel were acquired by Virgin Films in the year of publication with noted Italian director Sergio Corbucci slated to direct and talk of George Best as the footballer but the film was ultimately never made. <br/><br/>Corbucci rose to prominence in 1966 with his cult Spaghetti Western film "Django" a release considered to have set a new standard of violence in the genre. Corbucci is remembered one of Italy's most prolific exploitation directors creating stylish hyper-violent films in what is today known as the Euro Western and "poliziotteschi" genres usually following lone antiheroes seeking retribution for past wrongs as in "Navajo Joe" 1966 "Ringo and His Golden Pistol" 1966 and "The Cruel Ones" 1967 or left-leaning proletarian protagonists as in "The Mercenary" 1968 "The Specialists" 1969 and "Companeros" 1970. <br/><br/>Black untitled wrappers with a die-cut title window in the British style. Copy belonging to unknown crew member with a few holograph pencil and ink annotations to the front wrapper and leaves.<br/><br/>Screenwriter Gerry Anderson's early attempt at an intergalactic police procedural one that would would eventually become the British sci-fi series "Space Precinct" which was broadcast on October 3 1994 on Sky One. The pilot carries many similarities to the show that would eventually air-a hardboiled New York cop is transferred to the eponymous "space precinct" in Demeter City on the planet Altor in 2040-although the pilot features far fewer human characters with a greater reliance on Anderson's trademark blend of live action prosthetics puppetry a process Anderson called "Supermarionation."<br/><br/>Red titled wrappers.
