Not to be confused with the 2015 film directed by Emily Lapisardi starring Maria Olsen and Bill Townsend.<br /> <br /> Screenwriter Stephen Bonds previously made a low budget independent film under this title in 1980 the Second Draft script found here dates from 1988 and is an apparent attempt at getting a feature film made of the story. <br /> <br /> Based on the Northern Ohio urban myth regarding the ruins of Swift Mansion later the Light of Hope Orphanage which alleges a fire was set killing many children and a woman all who now haunt the ruins.<br /> <br /> Chris Scher has worked in American films from 1994 to the present. She was a propmaker construction accountant/estimator/buyer and carpenter on over 20 movies including "The Last Seduction" 1994 "Pulp Fiction" 1994 "From Dusk Till Dawn" 1994 "The Horse Whisperer 1998 "Joy Ride" 2001 and others. "Amok" is an Indonesian word of Malay origin referring to people caught up in a blind rage who try to kill their enemy and do not care about whoever else gets killed in their way. All photographs mounted on matte board as issued. <br /> <br /> Ordway and Clarke began working together on matters of science fact in 1951 and Clarke personally invited him to be the factual advisor on the film. <br /> <br /> Kubrick's sprawling science fiction epic traces the evolution of human intelligence under the influence of an unspecified alien force. Along with "Blade Runner" Kubrick's masterpiece forever altered the standard for visual and conceptual sophistication in science fiction and genre films. The pre-production for the film set standards as well as Kubrick hired one of the greatest science fiction authors of the 1960s Arthur C. Clarke to be his screenwriter and hired over 20 scientists like Ordway to consult on every detail of the film. The film's high degree of scientific accuracy coupled with bleeding-edge special effects and minimal use of dialogue make "2001" universally recognized as one of the most influential films ever made. The film won two Academy Awards for best writing and cinematography and was nominated for another seven. <br /> <br /> Tony Curtis and Sidney Poitier were lauded for their performances in this Academy Award winning drama in which two prisoners from a chain-gang escape. One white one African American the men originally cooperate out of necessity as they are chained to one another. However as they grow familiar with one another a deep bond and mutual respect develops between the men. <br /> <br /> "The Defiant Ones" was shot on a closed set due to the then-provocative subject matter. Special screenings were orchestrated in the southern United States for integrated audiences a relatively uncommon occurrence at the time. Montgomery Alabama however chose to cancel an integrated screening when the White Citizen's Committee Council protested the film claiming it gave rise to "moral support and financial gain to subversive propagandists" AFI catalogue. <br /> <br /> Set in the American South shot on location in California. <br /> <br /> 41 x 81 inches folded. Laid in is a rough pencil sketch of settings and a set.<br /> <br /> George Provis was a British Art Director and Production Designer who began his career working on quota quickies low budget features made to comply with Britain's Cinematograph Films Act of 1927 in the 1930s. After the Second World War Provis was appointed by British film producer Sydney Box to head the art department at Gainsborough Pictures and is credited on over 120 films.<br /> <br /> Based on the BBC-TV play "The Obi" by Jon Manchip White. At an interracial college in a small British town small glass bottles filled with graveyard dirt and feathers obis sent as Obeah voodoo curses to students and faculty precede a series of voodoo killings on campus. Re-released in 1973 as the television movie "Exorcism at Midnight" following the success of "The Exorcist" with new color sequences with an American cast which re-framed the original black and white film as a flashback. <br /> <br /> Tall tan untitled wrappers.
