SIGNED by both authors Dertouzos and Moses on the title page. The second printing December 1979. Cloth. A book which attempted to predict where the computer age was headed 20 years out by interviewing many visionaries. Dertouzos who died in 2001 was a leader in the use of technology serving as head of MIT's Laboratory of Computer Science for many years. Joel Moses is still at MIT and was responsible for the creation of MACSYMA a symbolic mathematics program capable of solving complex mathematical problems. It is interesting to compare their views with reality having now lived that future. MIT Press unknown books

Second edition revised. The second edition of the first Hebrew grammar published in the United Sates preceded by the 1829 edition which was also published in Andover by Flagg and Gould. A graduate of Yale University Moses Stuart 1780-1852 clergyman and Biblical scholar was called to the professorship of sacred literature at Andover Theological Seminary Andover Massachusetts where he was inaugurated 28 February 1810. "At that time there was probably no native-born American who knew enough Hebrew to teach it properly. He began at once to study Hebrew seriously and wrote a short Hebrew grammar which he circulated among his students in manuscript. In 1821 he imported a font of Hebrew type and printed a larger Hebrew grammar the first to appear in America. Since no compositor was able to handle it he had to set most of the type himself." - DAB. Moses Yale Beach 1800 - 1868 was an inventor publisher early owner of the New York Sun originator of print syndication and founder of the Associated Press. He acquired the Sun in 1835 after marrying the original owner Benjamin Day's 1810 - 1899 sister and buying the former out. He invented print syndication in 1841 by publishing a two-page supplement to his newspaper and selling it to a number of other journals on the East Coast. Related to that Beach mailed the current circular to presumably proprietors of news agencies and newspapers requesting that they send him files of papers published at or near their stations and containing market commercial monetary general etc. information. He promised to reciprocate promptly not only with his own news but with pieces from various newspapers from his exchange lists. By the author unknown books
