Partly printed document 6 5/8 x 8 inches employing several sizes and styles of type the text enclosed within an ornamental border and with a seal attached picturing an arm brandishing a sword. Irwin a native of North Carolina moved as a child with his family to the Georgia back county and served with his father and brother during the American Revolution; as governor he signed the act rescinding the fraudulent Yazoo land law. "His leadership patriotism and impartiality were recognized and honored throughout his career" DGB. Marbury is best remembered for his role in the publication of Georgia's first official digest of laws Digest of the Laws of the State of Georgia 1802. Some browning but very good. Folded. The fine screen facsimiles of the broadsides were all photographed directly from the originals and printed offset by The Meriden Gravure Company Meriden Connecticut. The type is Monotype Janson cast by A. Colish Inc. The paper is watermarked Imprint Almanack text. Folio. Original brown cloth-covered boards over a blue cloth spine with gilt titles. One of only 1950 copies printed this one is out of series but signed by the author on the last page of text. "A study of the methods and practices used in manufacture and inspection of adhesive-bonded honeycomb structures."<br/><br/>An internal Lockheed document although designed for publication probably for vendors using their products. Sections include introduction cutting and prefitting cleaning and surface preparation the layup area: priming adhesives assembly curing sealing and finishing inspecting and testing and an appendix includes a reference section of other sources of information for the reader. Highly technical in some areas with closeup photographs and oddly basic in others one illustration shows 6 forms of adhesives each with a crude image of powders solids pastes liquids etc. Other sections are quite practical with do's and don'ts of manufacturing a fingerprint on the product is noted as reducing load carrying-ability by 70%.<br/><br/>A scarce publication with only 2 copies listed in OCLC as of this listing. Another Statute rewards Austin Dabney "a Freeman of colour" for his bravery during the American Revolution.
