Very Good Turkish, Ottoman (1500-1928) Original 1/3 leather bdg. Decorative cloth boards with crescent and star and tughra. Roy. 8vo. (23 x 16 ccm). In Ottoman script. 271 p. AH 1286 = AD 1870. Karakaszâde was born in Bursa and died in Edirne. One sheikhsof the Jalvatiyya order. His works are "Nûru'l-Hüdâ li men Ihtidâ" and "Serh-i Risâle-i Hâce Cihan" and "Mürettebât Divan", which talk about mysticism and morality and are written on the old Ottoman inscription, but were written with some humble and extreme views. This book includes history of the mystic orders and tradition of Islamic and Turkish sufism. According to some claims this work by him is a plagiarist from 'Menâkibnâme-i Hâce Cihan ve Netice-i Can' by Vahidî. One copy in OCLC with mistake of author's name: 39817913.; Özege 15570. First Edition. Rare.

LITOGRAFIA a COLORI di cm. 41.8x26,6 al centro del fascicolo in 4° (cm. 31x24), brossura editoriale (lieve gualcitura al pur integro dorso) che è completo delle sue 32 pagine (incluse le copp.) e totalmente dedicato al pericoloso imperialismo di Guglielmo II, che rimase sul trono dal 1888 al 1918. Altre due TAVOLE doppie e le due copertine sono a COLORI; inoltre altre 25 grandi VIGNETTE in bianco e nero nel testo. Veber finge che i disegni e una marcia militare in musica siano opera del feroce Imperatore. Negli anni 1894-1897 c'era stata una campagna contro gli ARMENI condotta dal sultano ottomano Abdul-Hamid II (i cosiddetti massacri hamidiani), sinistro prodromo dei GENOCIDI che poi seguirono dal 1909 al 1915 con l'eccidio di 1.800.000 armeni. Nel 1898 il Kaiser partì per la Palestina, territorio dell'Impero ottomano. Il viaggio conseguì aumentò l'interesse dell'Imperatore per la Turchia e sollevò l'inquietudine dei francesi, dei russi e in particolare degli inglesi, che si vedevano minacciati nelle loro linee di navigazione marittime principali. Né i timori si placarono quando, due mesi dopo, i turchi concessero ai tedeschi la costruzione di un porto e di una linea ferroviaria sulla costa orientale del Bosforo. VEBER, illustratore per il mitico "Gil Blas", già nel 1897 aveva suscitato scalpore dipingendo Otto von Bismarck come macellaio del suo stesso popolo. L'intero impressionante e coraggioso fascicolo
