Fair/No Jacket. 1st ed. viii 292 pages ; OCLC: 14854876 ; blue boards with paper label ; repair to spine ; expanded from a prize-winning essay by this Berlin surgeon a graduate of the University of Berlin and also the author of a work on angina "Paristhmitidis acutae seu anginae externae Ludwigii historia" who was brought to Germany from Russia at the invitiation of Prince Constantin Friedrich Peter of Oldenburg ; he often titled himself "Jacob Levin from Russia" "Jacob Levin aus Russland" ; he was the translator of various English medical texts into German ; by 1891 he was Medicinalrat for the Kaiser and tended the prisoners in Berlin ; this volume details the recorded transference of diseases in domestic animals to humans and therapies used to combat these ; may yet have some significance to researches involving ebola AIDS and other diseases linked originally to animals ; only a handful of copies held by libraries around the world.
