Thereare "Bibliotheca Oatesiana" stamps on the title page and at the bottom of the last page of the Index. Also blindstamps of "Northfield" in Tunbridge Wells on the front endpaper and "Durrant House" in Tunbridge Wells on the half-title page. Errata slip present. With six colored folding maps and numerous black and white photographic illustrations. ~~The substantial Oates library was located at the Oates home which is now a museum in Selborne. Robert Washington Oates helped fund the Museum at Selborne dedicated to naturalist Gilbert White whom Mr. Oates admired and also gave numerous artifacts which related to the Victorian explorer Frank Oates Very Good binding.
