Scopre che in Alaska può fare anche caldo; incontra pensionati americani coi loro immensi motorhome, nativi completamente sbronzi, pistoleri di confine, orsi e caribù; trangugia hamburger pessimi e birre giganti, ma gli capita anche di soffrire la fame e la sete lungo i 5000 chilometri di una strada che sembra non finire mai.

The author's intention with this work was "to portray in word, and by brush and pencil, the life and country of Alaska as it is, so clearly and so truthfully, that the reader may draw his or her own inference, just as though he or she stood upon the ground itself." - from Introduction. Publisher's black cloth very handsomely adorned with gilt lettering and red and yellow illustration. Writing and large sticker scar inside front board. Lacking back free endpaper and map which was affixed there. Moisture stains to bottom edge of all pages - text unaffected. Hinges open. Binding open in two places. Prior owner's blind stamps.
