Papers are signed by C E Topping Nathaniel Miller John P Mills and others. Many items but not all relate to Miller Family of Brookhaven. 19259121London Waterlow and Sons Ltd 1925. Folding map sheet size 61.5 x 96.5 cm printed in black and red laid on linen and folding into stiff red cloth covers. LNER colliery map covering the midlands and north of England and Wales dated on the cover. Individual collieries to which the LNER had access are named in red. The railway companies were among the collieries major customers. For example Harworth Colliery in northern Nottinghamshire was linked to the LNER mainline by a special two and a half mile branch line in 1924 just a year before this map was published. It produced hard coal which was good for steaming and LNER locomotives such as the Mallard and Flying Scotman were reputedly burning Harworth coal when making their various record breaking attempts in the 1930s Clark A1 Landmarks 2015.
