Probyn's horse Sikhs to the number of five hundred are encamped on the mainland; Armstrong guns also are there. First separate edition comprising the 15 ordinances and many regulations issued during the first full year of William Robinson's tenure as governor. These concerned quarantine shipping in the vicinity of the telegraph cables linking the island with Kowloon and the introduction of new legal protections for young children. Robinson's governorship overlapped with the dominance of Sir Paul Chater in the colony's affairs and he was a firm supporter of Chater's expansion plans for the New Territories. Octavo.
