Circa1919. 50 hand coloured full page collotypes printed on thick paper showing beautiful Japanese sights scenery and people involved in activities each plate captioned in English all edges gilt padded patterned silk over boards with tassel ties presented in a wrap around cloth covered case with toggle ties. Endpapers a little foxed with some occasional foxing on plates and cloth case. A good copy. 17.7 x 25cm. <br> <br>Inscribed to the President Messrs John Edmondson & Co Pty. Ltd. With the Compliments of the Goshi Kaisha Mato Denki Shokai Kobe Japan. John Edmondson & Co were suppliers of beaver and moleskin to the Victorian Government in the 1920s and it seems likely from this inscription were doing business with Japan during this period. .
