58420 Mule Team Borax--Where it Comes From what it is Good for and How to Use it Pacific Coast Borax Company New York Chicago Oakland circa 1895 32pp. 4 3/8 x 6 3/4 inches.

Staple-bound white pictorial wrappers with ads on front and back for 20 Mule Team Borax products. Light soiling and edge wear. Interior pages lightly toned but clean. Very Good Condition.

Rare little advertising booklet for 20 Mule Team Borax brand of products. The title page states "This new work contains a series of Remarkable Photographs of The Borax Mines in Death Valley. The first ever reproduced in a booklet for popular distribution."

The 20 Mule Team symbol was first used on Borax products in 1891 ironically after a rail line began transporting borax. 20 mule teams were originally used to move borax out of the hot stinkin' desert. 20 Mule Team Borax is still in production.

We find one copy of this ephemeral pamphlet at University of California Santa Barbara as of June 2023 although it should be noted that slight variations in title entry may result in additional copies showing up in OCLC. Nonetheless we find no copies in commerce. unknown
