Striking promotional poster produced for the National Gallery of Australia's exhibition in 2011. The central panel is a detail from an original linocut of Canna lilies by artist and printmaker Murray Griffin 1903-1992 whose printmaking was notably influenced by Japanese woodcuts. Griffin served as Australia's official war artist in 1941 in Malaya but captured after the falll of Singapore by the Japanese and served three and a half years in Changi. .
