19403831Canada: Imperial Oil Limited / S.K.F. Canadian Company Limited 1940. Loose Prints. Near Fine. Two c. 1940's photo reproductions of Churchill & the Royals c. 1940's. The Imperial Oil images are in color and printed onto heavy card with their copyright in both English and French. Image w. the Royals & Churchill standing together also has a tipped-on Christmas greeting from Imperial mounted at bottom edge verso and is printed on decorative speckled paper. We do not know the significance of the red abbreviated moniker "DILL'S S.S.S." or what it stands for. Larger image measures 10-3/4 inches tall x 8-1/2 inches wide ; smaller image is 10 inches tall x 7-1/4 inches wide. Both are toned verso else fine. The "Man of Destiny" image is an unusual promotional piece by the Canadian branch of an international industrial company and utilizing possibly an image of Churchill in his office in 1945 while quoting in part some of his famous 1940 speech "I have nothing to offer but blood toil tears and sweat." Image is printed on light card and measures 11-1/4 inches tall x 8-5/8 inches wide is in VG condition w. light wear and a crease at bottom left corner.
