Diese Uhr zeigt neben der Uhrzeit auch Mondphasen und Tierkreiszeichen an. Im befestigten Ring aus Steinguss, der die 24 Stunden mit römischen Ziffern zeigt, befinden sich drei konzentrische, drehbare und auf Metall geprägte Ringe aus Kunstemail. Die 12 Tierkreiszeichen sind vergoldet und stehen im Gegenuhrzeigersinn nacheinander. Der drehbare Zeiger stellt die Sonne dar, er gibt sowohl die Tageszeit als auch das jeweilige Tierzeichen des Jahres an. Ganz innen läuft die Halbkugel des Mondes um die sich um sich selbst drehende Erde im Zentrum - getreu dem Mittelalterlichen Weltbild.
