Macchiolina d'inchiostro al p. ant. Brossura editoriale. Testo stampato in blu su carta grave color pistacchio. Stravagante e curioso testo, dato alle stampe in occasione del IV centenario della scoperta dell'America, in cui l'Autore espone le proprie idee pseudoscientifiche quantomeno fantasiose. Il globo terrestre avrebbe delle analogie con la fisiologia umana; la Terra sarebbe infatti dotata delle stesse funzioni di nutrizione, respirazione e deglutizione al pari dell'uomo. Quando la Terra trasuda, ad esempio, dai Poli si generano le Aurore Boreali. Segue una bibliografia di altre opere dell'A. Estremamente raro. Sull'autore, Alessandro Volante, esperto di aeronautica: "Non sappiamo se la pazzia soverchiasse in complesso la saviezza, ma ad ogni modo questa pure non manco' a quel figlio della forte e industriosa Alessandria della Paglia. Nell'aeronautica specialmente si puo' considerare egli che viveva nel secolo scorso come un precursore, oggi troppo dimenticato. Sono sue ad esempio le seguenti osservazioni sopra una forma d'elicottero di sua invenzione: "Un emisfero metallico che giri attorno ad un asse nel senso del diametro orizzontale sviluppa enorme forza ascensiva. L'emisfero deve essere chiuso e vuoto da un segmento... L'operaio a cui fu affidata l'esecuzione dell'apparecchio stesso, certo Donato Milanaccio e al quale si disse trattarsi d'una locomotiva, soggiunse: 'Ma l'apparecchio non rasenta il pavimento: esso s'alza! Poco dopo il sig, Jules Duruof la dichiaro' idea nuovissima senza riscontro e di indubbia riuscita" ("Genio e pazzia d'un aeronauta italiano dell'Ottocento", in L'Ala d'Italia.
