During the mid-1820s the elder Ackermann sent his son George to Mexico to establish branches of their bookselling concern across Hispanophone America and produced a number of books in Spanish for the project. The present text is in fact written entirely in the question-and-answer form of a catechism with twenty chapters on different types of farm plants. The platted map depicts the lands along the Mojave River between Victorville and Barstow and the areas to the east and west above the San Gabriel Mountains. Above the map is a panorama of the Mojave with a bridge and dam site in the foreground. The verso prints facts about prosperous fruit growing in the region; newspaper testimonials regarding the valley's fertility and recent growth; photographic images of local agriculture including one large image of a Victorville Chamber of Commerce with some state fair prize-winning apples; and even an inspiration economic quotation from "John Stuart Mills." Konstruktionszeichnungen von im Bergbau verwendeten Maschinen. Das Herzstück des Illustrationsteils stellt allerdings Taf. Düzgünes the author of books in the field of Statistics Genetics and Animal Breeding translated the books of his professors in the USA into Turkish and introduced many technical terms related to his subject to Turkish.
