One of the initiators of the Peace Movement. Since 1950 he has been a member of the World Peace Council since 1956 a member of its bureau and in 1969-1974 he was secretary. Vice President of the Argentine Peace Council. His most famous novel was The Dark River adapted into a film by his friend Hugo del Carril in 1952 as Las aguas bajan turbias.
