Library stamps and removed sticker mark, else good set. These volumes include a wealth of new species and taxonomic changes and a great iconography. Unfortunately the first volumes are becoming very scarce.

Important entomological contribution to southern Ethiopia (but also with ichthyological and herpetological and a few other non-entomo;ogical contributions). It contains, for instance, Coleoptera by R. Jeannel, Pic, Horn, Paulian and others; Diptera by E. Seguy; Lepidoptera by Le Cerf; Orthoptera by Uvarov, Chopard, and reptiles and amphibians by Roux. Deals also with mammals, crustaceans, etc. The papers published in volumes II-VI are bound in one or two; the three fascicules from volume VII have their own wrappers. Fascicule number 62 is used three times, one being an error of number 61 (both are on Coleoptera), the other, dealing with Hydracarina, probably is number 63. This seems to be last part published. Volume I describes the geology, paleontology and anthropology, thus the Zoology, as far as we know, is complete. A good set in original wrappers, mostly uncut, unopened.

Very rare catalogue and list of species and genera by the famous Swedish entomologist Carl Johan Schönherr (1772-1848) commissioned by the Société Entomologique de France. See Horn-Schenkling under H. Jekel. The same author published the famous and rare "Genera et species Curculionudum" in eight volumes (1833-1844) of which this might be regarded as a supplement. Bookplate (of David Sharp, depicting the ant and the cicada of the La Fontaine fables) on front pastedown and vague library stamp on front cover. The covers browned, and front cover previously stuck to the front board with some loss. Title pages and text only with minor spotting; a good copy.
