The parts of the child’s development which are formally planned came to seem important to those who plan and administer the schools, while the parts which are left to informal contacts are overlooked as of small importance, or are forgotten. Yet they continue to be very important, perhaps more important than all the matter included in formal education. Rural education, like all education, should not limit itself to the processes of the schoolroom, but at every stage from primary school to university should insist that pupils and students shall learn also from the great traditions of common life. The present work contains valuable relevant matter on diverse aspects of rural education. Students, teachers, educationists and educational administrators besides policy planners and teacher-trainers will find this book most useful and informative. Science is denounced for having brought present chaos and conflict in the world. Spiritual renaissance vis-à-vis contemporary scientific self-annihilation of civilization can avert the burgeoning doom. This book deals with mutation of human psyche with consciousness of man to preserve our very existence; to bring about a new culture and resolve the crisis in human psyche. Consists of three parts-Part I highlights challenge of thought, consciousness, education, violence, relationship and society. The United Nations project launched on 23 September 2003 has been incorporated in Part II. Part III explores subject-object dualism, crisis of perception, science and spirituality. In principle, the total matter is a single dynamic flow of dimensional transformation of the whole psyche including latest discoveries of science. 8vo. pp. (18), 234, (99). Title page printed in red & black, but age soiled. Disbound. Sallust was a famed Roman historian and politician. He was tribune of the people (52 B.C.) and praetor (46). He was ejected (50) from the senate ostensibly for adultery, but more probably because of his partisanship for Caesar. He served with Caesar after his praetorship and was his governor in Numidia; he was s ubsequently accused of misusing his governorship for personal gain. His principal works are the Bellum Catilinae, on the conspiracy of Catiline and his account of the Jugurthine War, Bellum Jugurthinu m. His history of Rome is extant only in fragments; it probably covered the period 78 B.C. to 67 B.C. As a historian Sallust was important as one of the first to write historical monographs dealing wi th sharply limited events and periods. Although his style is consciously archaic, it is distinguished by its terseness and directness. His character sketches are particularly impressive and vivid, and his work has found as many imitators as critics - Columbia Encyclopedia. . **PRICE JUST REDUCED! W121 Rear L
