Ha quindi affrontato l’isteria e altre forme di nevrosi nella pratica privata. Fondò la psicoanalisi e la sviluppò ulteriormente come il suo metodo di trattamento e di ricerca, nonché la psicologia generale, compresi i fenomeni della normale vita mentale. In “Totem und Tabu” (1912/13) Freud deals with the applicability of psychoanalytic explanatory schemes to the development of primitive peoples. Sigmund Freud was born in Freiberg (Moravia) in 1856. After studying medicine, he studied during a study visit to Paris, under the influence of J.-M. Charcots, also psychopathology. He then addressed hysteria and other forms of neurosis in private practice. He founded psychoanalysis and further developed it as his method of treatment and research, as well as general psychology, including the phenomena of normal mental life. In 1938 Freud emigrated to London, where he died in 1939.
