Giovanni Boccaccio's 'Amrorous Fiammetta' also known as 'The Elegy of Lady Fiammetta' is a psychological novel written in the form of a first-person confessional monologue. The protagonist Lady Fiammetta recounts her tragic love affair with Panphilus who leaves for Florence where another lover awaits him.
