After premiering at the Venice Film Festival the film was briefly banned in France for its scandalous depiction of infidelity and was only passed by the censors after forcing Godard to make several small changes including changing the film's title from "The Married Woman" to the slightly less inflammatory "A Married Woman." <br /> <br /> Four photographs 7.25 x 9.5 inches one photograph 5 x 7 inches.
