Stols' Halcyon Press. Magnificently illustrated with 10 original wood engravings including frontispiece by John Buckland Wright that perfectly capturing Poe's gothic macabre atmosphere. All wood-engravings remain exceptionally crisp and dark and are printed on 'EA Poe' watermarked paper. The binding is firm with light wear to spine ends and tears to top and bottom of joints. Exemplaire de la deuxième édition il s'agit d'une émission identique à celle de l'édition originale de 1888 à l'exception du premier cahier qui est "renouvelé". titre justification annonce des ouvrages du même auteur etc. En effet les exemplaires invendus de 1888 furent réutilisés et seul le premier cahier fut changé.
