Un trionfo di magnifiche pesche con qualche ramoscello verde in un piatto di vimini intrecciati, smaglianti nei vividi colori cui la raffinata tecnica oleografica conferisce ulteriore brillantezza a imitazione della pittura a olio. Il Sauvage, "specialista" in nature morte con frutta e ritratti, si fece conoscere ed apprezzare nella Parigi dell'Ottocento sin dal suo debutto al "Salon des Artistes" nel 1868. Cfr.
