Les poux princiers sinstallent au chteau de Nymphenburg Munich. Le Roi Louis II de Bavire accueille dabord froidement la jeune femme, au prtexte quelle ne la pas salu assez profondment. LInfante relate dans ses Mmoires quelle rpondit ingnument : Je demande pardon votre Majest. La vrit est que je nai pas ctoy de nombreux Rois, si ce nest ma mre la Reine Isabelle et mon frre, le Roi dEspagne . Ce trait dhumour plat au Roi. Ils se dcouvrent alors des passions communes : la posie, la musique... et la Princesse est lune des rares personnes avoir t invite dans le jardin dhiver de Louis II de Bavire.
