A manuscript note to the front free endpaper states that this copy also belonged to the Duke of York.<br/><br/>Having served as aide-de-camp to Clinton during the Charleston campaign he was wounded at Charlotte in 1782 Hanger was appointed Major of Tarleton's Dragoons. With further connections to Carleton Gen.
