Zeitung etwas gebräunt und gerändert, altersentsprechend gut erhalten. Die historische Beilage zur "Göttinger Zeitung" vom Weihnachtsfest 1915 verzeichnet zunächst auf etwa 2,5 Seiten die Spenden aus der Bevölkerung für den Vaterländischen Kriegshilfsdienst. Hier ist dicht geschrieben und genau verzeichnet, wer mit welcher Summe und aus welchem Beruf heraus gespendet hat - aufgeteilt nach den jeweiligen Zahlstellen in Göttingen (Stadtkämmerei, Weinhandlung Bremer, Zigarrenhandlung Krausbauer etc.). Infolge werden kurz die bisherigen Spenden zur "Nationalstiftung für die Hinterbliebenen der im Kriege Gefallenen" aufgelistet (Datum 24.12.1915). Auf der vierten Seite ist ein längerer Text des Kriegshilfsdienstes selbst zu lesen - über aktuelle Vorgänge und Erreichtes sowie zu kommenden Aufgaben, denn der Krieg währte ab Dezember 1915 ja noch weitere zweieinhalb Jahre. Sehr interessant ist eine fast halbseitige Danksagung des Infanterie-Regiments Nr. 82 (die sogenannten "82er") an den Magistrat der Stadt Göttingen für die zum Weihnachtsfest 1915 übersandten Gaben. Hier heißt es: "Göttingen hat uns durch seine Liebesgabentätigkeit neuen Mut und neue Kraft zu neuen Taten gegeben", zuvor bereits ist zu lesen: "Die Stadt Göttingen wolle versichert sein, daß durch die herrlichen Gaben dem Regiment große Freude wiederfahren ist und jeder 82er von dem Gedanken durchdrungen ist, so wie Göttingen hat wohl kaum eine andere Stadt für ihren Truppenteil gesorgt".
