Orfeo Tamburi si trasferisce a Roma dalla nativa Jesi. Nei suoi anni romani, si dedica soprattutto al paesaggio e il suo contributo maggiore si esplica nella vena disegnativa.

Of this vast literature, only two examples survive whole: a set of hymns composed at some point in the 2nd or 3rd century AD, and an Orphic Argonautica composed somewhere between the 4th and 6th centuries AD.
