This exhibition would be the last held in the Roberts Building as in 1917 the annual expositions would be held at the Jamestown Furniture Exposition Building in downtown Jamestown. This installment in the very rare trade magazine lavishly illustrates the early 20th-Century furniture manufacturers and their styles including quarter-sawn oak Craftsman Furniture Phonograph cabinets mahogany furniture Wellsville quality sofa and Davenport beds and more. Founded originally in 1870 the company under the direction of Zalmon Simmons Jr. song of the founder oversaw phenomenal growth following World War I by taking over plants from Atlanta GA to Los Angeles CA and Vancouver BC while moving their headquarters in 1923 to New York.
