Johann Abraham Kromayer 1665-1733 views the Arabic language as the "daughter" believed to be more recent who helps to extract meaning from the "mother" the earlier Hebrew of the Scriptures. Kromayer here labors somewhat in the shadow of his contemporary the Dutch orientalist Albert Schultens a great pioneer of such comparative studies in the Semitic tongues especially Arabic in the interest of biblical exegesis.
