Empress of Scotland around the world starting from New York on December 3rd 1925 and returning via the Panama Canal 129 days later. The book details the cruise and its many stops and includes photographs of those places from back then as well as photographs of the ship and some of its rooms. The exterior of the book has a lot of foxing and some soiling on both the front and rear covers. The interior of the long unopened book has no visible extraneous markings distractions or detriments and remains well-glued into its cover though if opened flat may start to crack due to its age. <br />If you order this snapshot of the world seen through this cruise ship's intended 1925 itinerary from us we will carefully wrap it up in either foam or bubble wrap then pad and box it and post it right away to you with both insurance and tracking on it.</p> Canadian Pacific paperback

There is minimal creasing along the sides and a multiple small pin holes in each of the corners. There is also a rip on the bottom edge that has been professionally restored. The size is 915mm x 610mm or 36" x 24". This poster is in good condition. The poster says Canadian Pacific Presents: The Canadian- First and only all stainless steel "dome" streamliner across Canada between Montreal-Vancouver Toronto- Vancouver starting April 24_1955. This poster was issued by the Canadian Pacific to promote The Canadian a streamliner that would go across Canada. It is a bright red background with bold white lettering in varying fonts across the whole poster. This is the first poster made advertising the first trip on "The Canadian" the soon to be famous all stainless steel "dome" streamliner across Canada. Dimensions: 175x138mm. Illustrated. Spine fold split at bottom. A very good slightly soiled copy of this rare prospectus/marketing brochure describing the route and variations from Toronto to Montreal and southeast to the Maine coast. Numerous legs are described including Thousand Island and Ottawa River excursions by steamboat. A fascinating piece which includes illustrations of car interiors and landscapes. CPR bought trackage rights on the Maine Central Railroad further south than the IRM link it built to Saint John NB in 1889. According to this prospectus: "The Canadian Pacific Railway will on the 3rd July inaugurate a through line of Sleeping and Parlour cars between Toronto the White mountains Old Orchard Beach and Portland Me."
