Sadowski of Michigan in the House of Representatives Monday August 2 1937 -- Radio Address by Hon. Frank E. Hook of Michigan on July 29 1937" this consists of a single leaf pages 10401-10402 of the "Congressional Record -- Appendix." Sadowski introduces Hook's NBC radio speech concerning legislation to reform the sugar industry. Hook signs huge and handsome in brown fountain pen diagonally across the first page of this two-page text. Unusual in this form. unknown

Kuralt apparently brought his "On the Road" film crew to cover "The Great Fire Engine Race of America" event at which time he signed this heavily pictorial souvenir booklet chronicling this annual race and fire-related tidbits. Near fine. On the front cover which depicts an artist's rendering of a 19th century horse-drawn fire engine racing to a call he inscribes it bold and large at upper left "For Milt -- / best! / Charles Kuralt." The twins each sign large and bold in black fineline Ann on top Abby below near the lower left. Not a First Day Cover but the enterprising collector used this stamp because it depicts newspapers being pulled off a colonial hand-pull press and this cancellation as relevant to the coincidental nature of twin sisters in identical professions.
