Italian-born American artist Giacomo Patri 1898-1978 was an illustrator for San Francisco newspapers beginning in 1925 while teaching at the Presidio Hill School and California Labor School. From 1948 until retiring in 1966 he headed his own art school in San Francisco. He is well-known for his wordless novel White Collar a chronicle of the aftermath of the 1929 stock market crash. unknown
