A rare anticlerical booklet against the Franciscans and the Dominicans, initially published in 1608 in Leyden. The autho, Nicolas Vignier, was a Protestant theologian born around 1575, a minister of the Reformed Church in Blois, where he died around 1645.The title page features a copper engraved vignette of the arms and motto of the Regiment de la Calotte.
