First edition n. d. ca 1880; 7 1/4 x 1 1/4; die-cut card stock; chromolithographed illustration to recto advertising text to verso; one of the four with a small repaired cut the rest with very minor wear - near fine condition. A beautiful collection of Victorian bookmarks they were very popular in the late 1800s. The Pears' Soap ones always featured their trademark die-cut hand which extended from the main body of the bookmark and hooked over the leaf of the book which was being marked.
