An unusual advertising booklet combining poetry and historical facts for Emerson Drug Co.'s Bromo-Seltzer which purportedly cured all headaches nervous depression over brain-work alcoholic excesses and so on. Several pages left blank with heading "Memorandum." Others contained information on the British Russian French German Italian Spanish and US Armies' numbers of soldiers guns horses etc. Also included were short poems corresponding to the particular army being described for example: "And Russia is a mighty power But well disposed to us We shall indeed deplore the hour It ceases to be thus." The slots are outlined and subtitled according to the size of available coins 50 cents nickel etc. Also included are descriptions of the products and several letters by physicians and specialists endorsing the use of those miracle items.
