Quite heavy foxing browny-yellow spotting/patching throughout to all volumes. Bindings very tight all hinges sound and apart from the foxing the text is clear and otherwise clean. No Inscriptions or other marks. Vol 1 = 336 pp; Vol. 2 = 346 pp; Vol 3 = 381 pp. " 'Anne of Geierstein' begins in autumn 1474 and ends in January 1477 with the defeat of Charles the Bold The Duke of Burgundy at the Battle of Nancy. Both Ballantyne and Scott had serious doubts about Anne of Geierstein and were therefore pleasantly surprised to find that the novel sold well especially in England.
