She is the daughter of Maya Widmaier-Picasso and the maternal granddaughter of Pablo Picasso and Marie-Thérèse Walter. After a Master's degree in private Law from Paris-Assas University and a master's degree in art history from Paris-Sorbonne University—her thesis was about the art market in France in the seventeenth century—she decided to specialize in old master drawings. She worked on several exhibitions in museums Metropolitan Museum in New York Institut Néerlandais in Paris and later became an expert in old master drawings at Sotheby's in London and Paris for three years. Laid in is a four-page Editor's Note. Number 121 of a first printing of 1000 sold to subscribers of which half were eaten by rats while in storage in Normandy. The author French poet and painter Marc Sabatier-Leveque began writing this massive poem at the age of 14; he rewrote it when he was 22 and it was published in 1955 thanks to André Malraux. Illustrated with 16 portraits of the author by Pablo Picasso who was the initiator of the subscription and said to the poet: "You are the one who brought French literature out of its Louis-Philippard style." Malraux who considered this text to be "one of the major works of the 20th century" wrote to its young author: "You will be discovered in 30 years." Sabathier-Leveque died at the age of 37 without publishing another book. The binding is defective - a substantial section of the spine is missing but the text block remains tightly bound. There are some signs of wear to the contents - the endpapers are foxsed a few of the plates have some creasing of the corners and there is a tear to one page. This book includes originals of issues 5 6 and 7 of the avant-garde surrealist magazine. Please note that the covers of issues 6 and 7 have not been bound in. Text in French. In early-Winter 1983 the graphic artist/media provocateur Kiki Picassoi.e. Bazooka member Christian Chapironannounced the development of a new experimental television station in Paris to be named Antene 1 A1. In his inimitable style Picasso designed these visually striking/disturbing 100 franc shares in the corresponding Société Anonyme de Television Pirate to support the channel's application for an official license. Whether or not the idea of a Limited Companyand pirate's licensewas another media stunt A1 would indeed get a chance to broadcast an absurd stream of content later that Summerfor a few hours after midnight to the 18th 19th and 20th arrondissementsuntil the police found their location. Eventually Picasso would play with experimental television for a longer stretch being involved in the development of Ondes sans frontières OSF which began broadcasting in 1998.
