Both American and Imperial Japanese Army uniforms of the WWI era are identifiable although the identities of those pictured are unknown. This image was never published/digitized but may be from the American/Japanese intervention in the aftermath of the Russian Revolution. ~~American Expeditionary Forces were sent to Vladivostok from 1918-1920 to stabilize the region in what is called the Siberian Intervention. Japan was allied with the US but harbored more ambitious goals in the region.
