[Fig. postincunabolo-Medicina] (cm.18,5) buona piena pergamena dell' epoca con unghie e tracce di lacci.-- cc. 284 nn. (di cui due bianche), 41 linee, caratteri gotici, molti capilettera figurati. Nel testo 4 xilografie (ripetute) che rappresentano la decollazione di Saint Symphorien, e davanti Champier con la sua donna inginocchiati con le loro armi. Edizione originale veramente rara e molto bella. La dedica è datata V idus aprilis 1507. Manca ad Harvard, Waller, Choix e addirittura al Baudrier " Bibliogr. Lionnaise ". L' autore (1472-1539) fu un grande filosofo e medico e pubblicò molte opere, fra le quali la celebre: " De Quadruplici Vita " del 1507. Vedi la lunga descrizione in Brunet e Graesse; Per notizie biografiche vedi Hirsch I 700. La sezione medica contiene: " Vocabulorum Medicinalium " e " Liber Quartus Ethymologiarum.qui est de medicina ". In fine un capitolo è dedicato alle origini storiche della città di Lione. All' inizio è aggiunta una pagina con annotazioni manoscritte dell' epoca. Cm. 33,5, pp. (32) 1027 (1) (ma in realtà 1035 in quanto il quaderno m* non porta numerazione). Grande impresa tipografica al frontespizio, bei capolettera istoriati e testate figurate. Solida ed elegante legatura ottocentesca in piena pergamena rigida con unghie. Dorso e piatti decoratri in oro con cornici e fregi. Sguardie marmorizzate e tagli dorati. Leg. firmata Vermorel. Ex libris. Solo una macchietta all'angolo bianco delle ultime carte, peraltro esemplare fresco ed in eccellente stato di conservazione. Edizione originale dell'opera completa del celebre medico e farmacologista napoletano Donato Antonio Altomare (1506-1566). Si segnalano, fra i vari trattati, due testi di interesse gastronomico: "De Mannae..." e "De Vinaceorum facultate...".

Legatura coeva in piena pergamena semirigida con nervi passanti. Sguardie di poco posteriori. Due buchetti al frontespizio, una mancanza al margine bianco della carta 98, tarletti al margine interno dell'ultima carta, peraltro esemplare genuino ed in ottimo stato di conservazione. Stimata e non comune edizione seicentesca di questo classico della letteratura medica.

A Cura: Borgaruccio Borgarucci di Canziano di Gubbio(lavorò durante il periodo 1565-1589), che ne curò la sistemazione editoriale. . Pagine: 2+30+2+366 . Formato: 16° . Ex libris: Gerardus Tirochus Prot. Apost, che appose anche la propria firma, oltre al timbro personale. . Rilegatura: Pergamena coeva, al dorso si legge la scritta SECRETI DIVERSI, anche se un po’ lisa. Tarli nei margini, in rari casi intaccanti alcune lettere . Stato: Discreto . Caratteristiche: Dimensioni pergamena cm. 15,5*10. Foglio c. 14,7 per 9,3. La prima edizione fu del 1563 (definita in prefazione parto imperfetto). Capilettera xilografati, presenza di segni di tarlo, lungo parecchie parti del volume ma nei margini bianchi bassi o centrali. Intaccano solo in rari casi alcune lettere. Non vi sono bruniture. L'autore fu medico chirurgo, farmacologo, professore di Farmacia a Ferrara, di anatomia a Pisa e di anatomia chirurgia e botanica a Padova. Famosi gli studi sull'apparato genitale femminile, sulla chiocciola uditiva, disse di aver inventato il preservativo, ad uso contro la sifilide. Confutò Galeno e il Vesalio. Nell'opera vi sono pratiche interessantissime di medicina, utilizzo erbe, farmacologia e ALCHIMIA (es.trasformazione del PIOMBO IN ORO) e Curiosità (Riduzione del Seno, contro il freddo, fuochi d'artificio, lavare e pulire i vestiti, contro la calvizia, rendere belli i capelli, colorare di rosso il viso delle donne (FARD)!!! .
