Oblong 4to. measuring 26 x 31 cm. Illustrated bay card-covers bearing bright gilt lettering to the centre and held with its original string binding. Wonderfully illustrated with striking black-and-white period photographs of the young city of only 7250 persons. Includes views of its many notable landmarks including its City Hall various houses of worship agricultural scenes and vignettes its banking and centres of commerce one stunning full-page plate depicting Indigenous leader Light Feather many views of Brandon-area grain elevators and much else. Light chips along the edges of the covers faint foxing to the preliminary pages and rear endpaper else leaves quite well-preserved. Overall very good. Exceedingly rare in commerce.
