In addition to the two photographs of Carlyle Petersilea 1844-1903 a noted concert pianist and music teacher this new edition adds fifteen pages of reviews of this novel and OCEANIDES: A PSYCHICAL NOVEL 1890 the second of his four occult/utopian novels. Petersilea was born in Boston and spent most of his life there. In 1892 he moved to California where he and his wife built a home at Tropico near Los Angeles.
