El autor, Oficial del Ejército de la República, Combatiente de la Resistencia en Francia durante la WW2, y Guerrillero Comunista entre 1944 y 1946, fue detenido en Barcelona y condenado a cuatro penas de muerte, conmutadas por treinta años de reclusión mayor que cumplió en la Modelo de Barcelona, en la Prisión Central del Dueso, en Ocaña, San Miguel de los Reyes, Gijón y Burgos, entre otras, saliendo en libertad tras veinte años de prisión ininterrumpida el 25 de Septiembre de 1966. El libro contiene una parte de la poesía contra el olvido, escritura nocturnal y esperpéntica desafiando cacheos, registros y censura que guarda el recuerdo y la memoria de esos veinte años.

An ephemeris plural: ephemerides; from the Greek word ἐφήμερος ephemeros ìdailyî is a table of values that gives the positions of astronomical objects in the sky at a given time or times. Different kinds of ephemerides are used for astronomy and astrology. Even though this was also one of the first applications of mechanical computers an ephemeris will still often be a simple printed table. Contents in this copy include a Calendar with gold numbers a Sun cycle and Age of the Moon and dates for important liturgical holidays among them Ash Wednesday Easter and Pentecost.
