Roman numerals correspond to the reference number of the original lithograph contained in each volume. This copy contains the original lithograph - Houses at La Volpia. Each separate lithograph has been printed by hand on a stellar press at the ateliers of Il Bisonte. Four parts: 1. Homage to Chianti by Carlo Betocchi 2. Chianti Past and Present by Giuseppe Conti 3. One full color illustration on upper wrapper. 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" <br/><br/>This wine list is from a dinning car owned by the Fred Harvey Company. Fred Harvey 1835 - 1901 owned around 45 restaurants along the railroad and 20 dinning cars. His restaurant legacy lasted until his gradson died in 1965. The Fred Harvey Company was the sixth largest food retailer in the United States when it sold in 1968. Stamped in blue ink on the upper wrapper is the date "Nov 21 1942". On the inside at the head it also states "For Victory Buy United States War Savings Bonds And Stamps". A sign of the times. Included in the list are California and imported wines liquor mixed drinks beer cigars/cigarettes and playing cards. Also is an extensive list of waters and juices. Fred Harvey unknown books

Firenze, per Batelli e Figli, [c. 1820], incisione in rame all'acquatinta, mm. 280x346 (l'impronta della lastra, che comprende anche titolo e scritte incise in lastra) + ampi margini bianchi. Veduta della ghiacciaia (la Piramide delle Cascine) con, in primo piano, un gruppo di popolani che bevono vino, brindando e ballando, evidentemente ubriachi. Sul margine inferiore è inciso il proverbio, in lingua italiana e latina. L'incisione non è firmata ma è molto piacevole. Fa parte di una serie di vedute di Firenze accostate a proverbi popolari, piuttosto rara a trovarsi. Bruniture marginali. In sobria cornice lignea con vetro di protezione.
